Explore and be guided through the Special Collections exhibit relating to public health and medical services in the Western Pacific. You will discover how the British colonial administration delivered public health and medical services in the Western Pacific during the 1920s-30s. Featuring original reports, photographs, correspondence from the Western Pacific Archives. The exhibit illustrates the administration’s increasing interest in the health and welfare of indigenous populations, through sanitation, disease prevention and education campaigns, new infrastructure and the training of indigenous medical practitioners.
